Pink Tea Party

Hi.  My name is Joan (aka Pembrokeshire Lass)
Beverley has invited me to be her featured blog on
Pink Saturday.

I love walking the beautiful coast near where I live in Wales.  The picture at the top is a little village that I visited last month Little Haven

Plenty of my past blogs show our wonderful coast

The picture on my header is another part of this walk!

This is the Walk to Barafundle Bay

Now you know a little about me I would like to get to know you
Will you join my tea party?

It's a pink Party as the theme is
Breast Cancer Awareness

I do hope you like Pink Cakes?

I love this Irish Linen tablecloth
that my mother gave me

This china is just so delicate!
I collected it when we were first married and
there's not much left now!!

This glass dish is another favourite...it belonged to my father's aunt!

Thank you for joining me for tea.

If you haven't been there please visit Beverley
at How Sweet the Sound Here

As we remember Breast Cancer Awareness

Please remember little
April Jones, aged 6,
who vanished on her way home
in Machynlleth on the first of this month
and loves pink!

I love your sweet china, you should seek out more pieces to fill the gaps, and your glass dish is lovely.
    Have a wonderful weekend.

  13. Hi Joan, It is grand to meet you. My husband's family came from Wales many years ago. What a gorgeous header. It takes my breath away. Your tea cups are so sweet and the cakes as well.

I will pray for April and her family. How very sad it is to read this bad news.

Don't forget to get your mammogram. Go Pink for Cancer.

  22. It should grieve the heart of every parent to hear of any missing child. Our thoughts are with April's parents and a sincere hope for her soon and safe return.

I had some of that same pattern of China many years ago. It's so cheerful! Someday I'm going to visit your part of Wales. It is next on my list. :-)

  23. OH, MY GOODNESS! Your header just opens like a Dorothy-Door into another realm of AWESOME--in the true meaning of the word. I cannot imagine having that magnificent vista close at hand.

Thank you for the lovely party---I especially enjoyed your Mother's tablecloth, and the little crocheted roses---I've often thought of trying to remove some of those from an old pillow, for just that purpose.

I'm sorry that our one trip---one of those fourteen-day bus tours---only dipped a little toetip into Wales. The brave history and the incomparable countryside are still calling me to return. That photo will suffice for now---it's simply perfect.

  24. Hello! It is a pleasure to meet you! I would be delighted to join your tea party! Such beauty where you live! I am so glad I stopped by. Prayers for the missing girl. We had a similar situation about three weeks ago. Unfortunately a teen boy confessed to killing this beautiful 12 year old girl. I am praying for her safe in your lovely countryside.
    Hugs Anne

P.S. Your mom's tablecloth is gorgeous! Sigh!

  25. Good Morning and Happy Pink Saturday! I'm dropping in from Central Texas by way of Beverly's feature of your blog. Nice to meet you.
What lovely countryside you have available to you. In Texas, we have to drive a while to change the view of the countryside. Our ocean is the Gulf of Mexico and a ways off from our home. But it's "our ocean". Not the kind of coastline you have though, which is beautiful.
Love your roses. And am sorry to hear about April. I couldn't finish typing out my comment without stopping to pray about her. I sure pray for her safe return but at also that a quick conclusion is found. And I pray for the family involved.

It's hard to stop there and say Happy Pink Saturday. I think of that beautiful single rose where you mentioned her and well, I guess I'll be off to more pink links now.

    Happy Pink Saturday to you!

  26. Beverly's blog sent me here. So happy I visited. The scenery photos are so fabulous. Remind me a little bit of the coast at Sonoma County in N. California in USA. And I totally love the tea party dishes, cloth, flowers, and the works. Nice!

  32. Hi Joan, this as a lovely tea party with beautiful table settings and delicious treats that thankfully were non-fattening when one is only looking! Glad to read that you were up and getting around. We are experiencing the wrath of storm Sandy here on the east coast of the U.S. Sorry to read about the missing child; sadly this is happening far too often worldwide.
