I took myself for a walk in the bluebell woods this afternoon.
A friend decided to come with me as she hadn't see these particular woods before.
I have spent every day this week
either in the doctor's surgery or seeing the consultant at the local hospital.
Tomorrow I have to go to The Heath Hospital in Cardiff (100 miles away) for a procedure.
I badly needed to get out in the fresh air
and enjoy nature!!!
We took the winding path into the woods
There were bluebells
but they weren't out all that well.
I've heard that,
because of the strange weather we have had this spring,
bluebells are not doing so well!
However, there were
so many timid flowers and ferns uncurling their fronds that the walk was a delight.
The birdsong just added to our pleasure!
It was just so peaceful and relaxed.
Just what I needed to calm my spirit before facing the demands of tomorrow!
Thank you for sharing the lovely blooms from your walk. Praying all goes well tomorrow. Keep us posted.

ReplyDeleteI had the opportunity to visit Swansea very briefly last year (we live in TX) for a small academic conference. It was early June and the weather was perfect: low 70s and bright sun. The local people were very excited to have such lovely weather as they said it is often rainy and cold there. I wish I could have seen more of Wales -- I've been to northern Wales, but it was many many years ago.
What a beautiful walk. It must have lifted your spirits. Good luck at the docs.
