Hi. My name is Joan (aka Pembrokeshire Lass)
Beverley has invited me to be her featured blog on
Pink Saturday.
I love walking the beautiful coast near where I live in Wales. The picture at the top is a little village that I visited last month Little Haven
Plenty of my past blogs show our wonderful coast
The picture on my header is another part of this walk!
Now you know a little about me I would like to get to know you
Will you join my tea party?
It's a pink Party as the theme is
Breast Cancer Awareness
I do hope you like Pink Cakes?
I love this Irish Linen tablecloth
that my mother gave me
This china is just so delicate!
I collected it when we were first married and
there's not much left now!!
This glass dish is another favourite...it belonged to my father's aunt!
Thank you for joining me for tea.
If you haven't been there please visit Beverley
at How Sweet the Sound Here
As we remember Breast Cancer Awareness
Please remember little
April Jones, aged 6,
who vanished on her way home
in Machynlleth on the first of this month
and loves pink!
Hi Joan.
ReplyDeleteGreat to get to know you better.
Poor little April I think of her and her family often.
I hope her family will get closure. It is heart breaking.
Enjoy your weekend and Pink Saturday
Fiona
Wonderful post Joan. What breathtaking views, as always. I always feel so blessed when I visit. Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Noreen
What a pleasure it would be to actually join you for tea! Pink cakes are my very favorite!
ReplyDeleteSad news about little April.:( Surely there will be some answers soon.
Thank you for sharing these lovely photos, Joan. Have a wonderful weekend!

I would love to join you for tea. The dishes are beautiful and the cakes look so tempting.
ReplyDeleteThe photos are all lovely.
Looks like you are going to have to get a larger table Joan - we are queuing up to join you for tea :o)
ReplyDeleteI love your sweet china, you should seek out more pieces to fill the gaps, and your glass dish is lovely.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Happy Pink Saturday, Joan. I hope you enjoy being the featured blog. Thank you for making Pink Saturday special.
ReplyDeleteI do love all the pretty cakes, and I would love to be there sharing with you.♥
I'll keep this sweet child in my prayers.
Hi Joan, stopping by via Beverly's Pink Saturday, pleasure meeting you. Your header image is breathtaking.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the lovely tea party. Oh yes, I love all cakes including pink. These are so pretty, and so is the china. Thank you for being such a gracious hostess. I look forward to visiting again soon.
Happy Pink Saturday.
Much love,
Marcia
You truly live in one of the most beautiful spots on earth!! It reminds me of our central coast here. Very green and unspoiled.
ReplyDeleteJoan, You have lots of pretty views while walking. You look well in the photo, so happy for that. prayers for the little girl. xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteHi Joan, nice to see you :))
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are lovely and you have some lovely 'things'.
I often think of wee April and my heart goes out to her family.
Hello Joan, How nice to meet you! I just became your newest follower and I look forward to more tours of Wales.
ReplyDeleteYour header is breath taking! The cliffs with the flowers are so beautiful right down to the beautiful blue sea!
Thank you for the tea! It was delicious and your china so lovely! Thank you for inviting me!
♥ Jil
Hi Joan, It is grand to meet you. My husband's family came from Wales many years ago. What a gorgeous header. It takes my breath away. Your tea cups are so sweet and the cakes as well.
ReplyDeleteI will pray for April and her family. How very sad it is to read this bad news.
Don't forget to get your mammogram. Go Pink for Cancer.
Hugs, Jeanne
Prayers for April and I DO love pink!
ReplyDeleteYour post is so wonderful! The countryside where you live looks so beautiful. I wish we could visit there some day. Thank you for the tea! I may be a bloke, but I've always said a little bit of pink never hurts anyone. :^)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pink. . . roses, china, cupcakes too. Supporting Breast Cancer Awareness is very important. A missing six year old breaks my heart!
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing your photo Joan!
I love to see your beautiful countryside and ocean photos! I would love to have tea with you too!!
ReplyDeleteSo sad about the missing little girl!!!
XO Kris
Everything looks absolutely gorgeous and delishous!
ReplyDeleteYum! Pink cakes are just about my favourite! I love the little flower napkin rings, so pretty.
ReplyDeleteHaving tea with you would be a great joy for sure.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely place you live in. Just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteAnd, I do, indeed, love pink tea cakes..:)
I am over from Pink Saturday...hope you will come by.
I am following you now.
xo bj
It should grieve the heart of every parent to hear of any missing child. Our thoughts are with April's parents and a sincere hope for her soon and safe return.
ReplyDeleteI had some of that same pattern of China many years ago. It's so cheerful! Someday I'm going to visit your part of Wales. It is next on my list. :-)
OH, MY GOODNESS! Your header just opens like a Dorothy-Door into another realm of AWESOME--in the true meaning of the word. I cannot imagine having that magnificent vista close at hand.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the lovely party---I especially enjoyed your Mother's tablecloth, and the little crocheted roses---I've often thought of trying to remove some of those from an old pillow, for just that purpose.
I'm sorry that our one trip---one of those fourteen-day bus tours---only dipped a little toetip into Wales. The brave history and the incomparable countryside are still calling me to return. That photo will suffice for now---it's simply perfect.

Hello! It is a pleasure to meet you! I would be delighted to join your tea party! Such beauty where you live! I am so glad I stopped by. Prayers for the missing girl. We had a similar situation about three weeks ago. Unfortunately a teen boy confessed to killing this beautiful 12 year old girl. I am praying for her safe in your lovely countryside.
ReplyDeleteHugs Anne
P.S. Your mom's tablecloth is gorgeous! Sigh!
Good Morning and Happy Pink Saturday! I'm dropping in from Central Texas by way of Beverly's feature of your blog. Nice to meet you.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely countryside you have available to you. In Texas, we have to drive a while to change the view of the countryside. Our ocean is the Gulf of Mexico and a ways off from our home. But it's "our ocean". Not the kind of coastline you have though, which is beautiful.
Love your roses. And am sorry to hear about April. I couldn't finish typing out my comment without stopping to pray about her. I sure pray for her safe return but at also that a quick conclusion is found. And I pray for the family involved.
It's hard to stop there and say Happy Pink Saturday. I think of that beautiful single rose where you mentioned her and well, I guess I'll be off to more pink links now.
Happy Pink Saturday to you!
Beverly's blog sent me here. So happy I visited. The scenery photos are so fabulous. Remind me a little bit of the coast at Sonoma County in N. California in USA. And I totally love the tea party dishes, cloth, flowers, and the works. Nice!
ReplyDeleteWhat a breathtaking part of the world you live in, I would also enjoy those walks. Lovely setting for a tea party. My heart goes out to this family of the little girl.
ReplyDeleteAnn
I loved coming to tea at your house and seeing your family heirlooms.. the cakes look divine! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteJoan, it's nice to see a picture of you! Your pink table is so pretty and inviting. The china, the roses and tasty treats. Makes me want to get on a plane and get on over there! Happy Pink Saturday!
ReplyDeleteI so enjoyed the feature of you with Beverly at How Sweet the Sound. Your photos are amazing. Prayers for little April Jones.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy your blog.

Hi Joan, this as a lovely tea party with beautiful table settings and delicious treats that thankfully were non-fattening when one is only looking! Glad to read that you were up and getting around. We are experiencing the wrath of storm Sandy here on the east coast of the U.S. Sorry to read about the missing child; sadly this is happening far too often worldwide.
ReplyDeleteOoh, pink cakes ... they look scrummy, and such pretty china. A great tea party for a great cause :D
ReplyDeleteOh, and I can never see too much of your stretch of the Welsh coastline :)
Oh Joan I would surely love to join you for tea and of course those delicious cupcakes. You set a beautiful table in my house you would get a mug and I would slide the books off the table.
ReplyDeleteI am so sad about the little girl I do hope things work out. B
Your china's so pretty. I love the large pink roses and the cakes look delicious.
