Pink Orchid

This is the orchid....

that one of my daughters gave me last weekend

as part of my present ......

for my birthday........ isn't it beautiful?

I just haven't been able to get my act together
so well
these last few days

I had intended to blog about my trip to
Picton Castle Gardens
with my grand daughter.....

...... but I haven't been able to do it!

My twin 5 year old grandsons......

chose this little lady for me...

at present she sits
on the bottom step of my stairs ......

  1. What a sweet orchid and I love the little gift from your grandsons! I know your special day was extra sweet having visits from the grands!

  2. Beautiful orchid! Looks like you were well taken care of for your birthday! Hope it was a good one.

  3. The orchid is gorgeous! The gift from your grandsons is precious!

I am glad you had such a nice birthday!

  4. Happy Belated Birthday . . . let that Orchid "keep you in the pink."

Many places in the United States are suffering from dreadful heat, power outages, horrible wild fires . . . be safe, be well . . . rest yourself and soon you will feel like doing another post.

    My caring,
    Love Lynne

  5. Happy birthday sweet lady! Sounds like you've been busy having fun so that's the best way to spend your time! I love your beautiful orchid and your sweet gift! Enjoy the weekend ahead!

  6. How beautiful! Happy belated birthday! Hope it was a lovely day for you :)

  7. Beautiful orchid! Love the little lady too.
    Have a nice weekend Joan.
    Hugs, Noreen

  8. Your orchid is beautiful as is your new little welcoming lady. Happy, Happy Belated Birthday!

  9. Your orchid is just gorgeous- What a sweet birthday present...and I love your little step sitter, too! Blessings-xo Diana

  10. Lovely, lovely orchid. They are such regal flowers, aren't they? Oh, by the way, HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY. May your new year of life be absolutely splendid.

Meant to ask you, regarding your header, is that place near your house? Wow, that is QUITE a drop to the sea. If little kids were around there, I think I'd have a nervous breakdown, worrying about them going over the cliff. It's quite beautiful, though. Susan

  11. Belated Happy Birthday! Your orchid is beautiful! So blessed to have family over! Your little house welcoming Lady is adorable!

    Enjoy the weekend!

  12. What lovely birthday presents. I hope you are feeling more like yourself again in the next wee while.

  13. You have some really lovely birthday presents there!
The orchid is gorgeous and your new official "welcomer" would make anyone smile :-)
    Happy Pink Saturday.

  14. Belated birthday wishes, Joan. The orchid is lovely. Hope you are feeling better soon, but never be concerned with not having time to blog/read blogs. Taking care of yourself is what matters and blogland will still be here...really.

  15. Lovely orchid. Looking forward to seeing your post with your granddaughter. Thanks for being a part of Seasonal Sundays.
