It's no good....
I just can't stay away from this place....
I just love Picton Castle and it's walled garden!
As we walked from the carpark...
a glorious scent reached us
coming from the rose
cascading over the trees...wonderful!
My friend wanted to do a tour of the inside
and I...
sat under an umbrella in the wonderful courtyard
and enjoyed the peace....
whilst I supped a cup of tea...
and wrote in my journal!
At last my friend returned
and we headed for the walled garden
making a slight detour
through this lovely garden!!
Onwards towards the walled garden...
leaving the castle behind
Isn't this tree wonderful?
My grandchildren love to play on it...
would I were younger!!
At last!
Inside
This garden has a large border
totally devoted to herbs
with signs next to each one explaining their use
I am trying to take a picture of each one
along with their information.
But today
we don't have a lot of time so
I want to look at the flowers...
Beautiful borders!!
There is so much to see and enjoy
that I could bring a sandwich
and spend all day here!!
Who knows..
perhaps I might just do that sometime!
Hubbie and son have had another falling out...
Sometimes it is so hard being in the middle of two people that you love so much
and who both think they are right...
Staying here
could well be an option!!
Ah well...
I'd better head for home...
oh joy!!
At least some of its peace
has rubbed off on my sore heart...

ReplyDeleteOh my, I have no idea of how you found me and my blog, but I am so glad you did. What a wonder place you live in. I love the gardens at the castle and all the wonderful flowers that grow within. I will be back many times. Praying for peace in your heart as well as the men in your life who think that being right is more important than being loved right now. May they see past what's here and now and have a vision of what is to come when this life is past. Big hugs from the prairie fields of the US.
